The Dallas Morning News, Texas’ leading newspaper, offers internships in news, copy editing, business, features, sports and our website, dallasnews.com. Internships are also available in
photography, graphic arts and the Washington, D.C., bureau. Most internship periods take place during the summer, however the sports internship occurs during the fall, generally starting around Labor Day.
Grady grad Selwyn Crawford is director of the intern program. He will meet with students interested in applying or learning more about these opportunities when he visits campus onOct. 1.
College internships are full time for 10-12 weeks and interns are paid $15.00 an hour for a 40-hour work week. Interns should have a car in good working condition.
Previous journalism experience required (internships and/or campus media).
To apply for an on-campus meeting on Oct. 1 email a resume, statement of interest and times available between 2-5 p.m. to firstname.lastname@example.org. Those selected for a 20-minute session will meet with Crawford at The Red & Black building on Baxter Street.
The application deadline for DMN summer internships is Oct. 31. The on-campus meetings will allow you to submit application materials to Crawford or learn more in time to apply before the deadline.
