About Us CBS Sports Network (CBSSN), the 24-hour home of CBS Sports, televises
350 live games and 2,200+ hours of original programming every year
including live college football, college basketball, and more from the
Big East, American Athletic Conference, Mountain West, Conference USA,
Atlantic 10, Army, Navy, and the Patriot League. CBSSN is also the
exclusive home of Professional Bull Riding.
Throughout the year, the network also telecasts a full slate of
original programming and studio coverage. It is home of “NFL Monday QB”
featuring Phil Simms, Rich Gannon and Steve Beuerlein, Jim Rome’s daily
show “Rome,” and “Lead Off” daily with Doug Gottlieb and Allie LaForce.
Sunday mornings throughout football season, the network telecasts “That
Other Pregame Show” which features The NFL Today talent joining Bart
Scott, Amy Trask, Brandon Tierney, Adam Schein, Nathan Zegura and Allie
LaForce to discuss Pro, College, and Fantasy Football.

PROMOTIONS INTERN
Provides support to Production staff
on-location at local shootsLog and dub tapes

Assists department in all facets of
production

Runs occasional errands such as running tapes
to and from the studio

By end of semester, intern will be able to
produce their own promo (full-cycle:
pre to post- production)

REMOTE PRODUCTION INTERN

Helps gather best footage for packages

Assists in the preparation of team
information for frontends and player frontends

Provides support to Production
staff on-location at local shoots

FEATURES
& ORIGINAL PROGRAMMING INTERN
Assists on shoots

Assists on edits

Performs research for original programming

Organizes Feature and Original Programming
content

Possible script-writing

Works with Producers and Editors on football
features

**ALL INTERNSHIPS ARE FOR ACADEMIC CREDIT ONLY. Internship offers are
contingent upon receipt of a letter on school letterhead verifying credit
eligibility.

Required Qualifications – Solid interest and knowledge of sports, particularly college sports– Proficiency using Final Cut
Pro

– Current undergraduate student (junior or senior)

– 2.50 GPA or above

– Ability to obtain college academic credit

– Superior communication and interpersonal skills

– Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

– Exceptional attention to detail

– Able to work in a fast- paced environment under deadlines

– Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

– Ability to work and prioritize work assignments

– Able to provide administrative support as needed

Preferred Qualifications – Active participation in extracurricular activities; clubs; and/or
associations. Leadership positions while maintaining an above-average GPA, a
plus
– Prior internship experience in a related field
Additional Information Internships are in New York, NY. Selected students must be willing to
relocate or commute at their own expense
We are looking for passionate students to join our winning team during
the summer 2014 semester. Interested students must be able to commit to two
full days per week. This is an UNPAID, FOR-CREDIT ONLY internship program. And,
proof of credit eligibility and course enrollment from an accredited academic
institution must be provided prior to start date.

Our network’s internships are professional and learning experiences. As
such, they present priceless opportunities for undergraduate students that want
to learn the workings of a fast-paced, innovative, and growing cable network.
